December Detox Your Life | Day 7: Positive Thoughts, Positive Outcomes

Emonne Abedini Certified Life Coach and HypnotherapistThis week we caught up with Emonne Abedini, a Bay Area Life Coach and Hypnotherapist. We asked her as the new year approaches, how can folks move forward with next year’s goals?  She had this to tell us:

I believe in the power of having someone help you stay accountable and assist you in your goals. If you have the conscious desire to reach your goal and are taking steps toward your goal, you are more than half way to where you want to be.

Emonne recommended this quick tip to help people get started:

Tip: Anytime you see yourself doing something healthy give yourself a mental compliment.

It’s so easy to fall into the negativity trap. If you find yourself drinking water over soda, resting when you are tired, or simply taking a little “me time“, give yourself a pat on the back. Feeling good about ourselves is something we often forget to do, and when it comes to being healthy, more positive thought brings more positive outcomes. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy that we hope you’ll practice this week and share your results below.

More about Hypnotherapy When we met with Emonne we had to ask: What is Hypnotherapy? Well, Emonne describes Hypnotherapy as a reprogramming of the subconscious mind. No, she doesn’t wave a watch on a pendulum asking you to fall into a deep sleep (although admittedly we could all use some deep sleep, am I right?), but it is a type of guided meditation.
